• Course Description

  This course is designed to provide candidates with an understanding of: (1)The concepts and principles of educational psychology; (2) The use of psychological and educational concepts and principles in the prediction, control and explanation of human behavior; (3) The purpose of Educational Psychology in the preparation of teachers and (4) The role of research in facilitating teaching and learning process. The Course Human Learning contributes an understanding of historical theories of learning as well as current notion of verbal learning, automated instruction and motivational variables. Required observation in elementary and secondary schools supplements discussion relative to cognitive, physical, psychological, social and emotional development of secondary school pupils. Problem oriented term projects provide practice in creative thinking on the part of the students.
